Three weeks after being diagnosed with acute glaucoma, Adam Kent lost his vision. Two months down the line, and he’s left behind his life in London as an author of political history books and retreated to the Isle of Wight, to live in the house he inherited in Steephill Cove. This book is the reason I like KC Wells. Her work not only only includes passion but all the feelings one associates with a good romance novel.Imagine being at the stage in your life when you have found critical and financial success, you have served your country in the military, and had adventures sailing from the US to the UK. OH and you are a Dom. Suddenly life changes. You find yourself blind, lost and frightened at the age of 40. You are wallowing in self pity and ready to give up. Wells does a great job capturing all those feelings but, she doesn't leave Adam to flounder long on his own.
Paul is hired to be his companion. Paul is 23 and has a warm loving heart. He also has a backbone of steel and isn't afraid to push back. He won't allow Adam to push him into quitting. Paul is also different in that he encourages Adam to adapt but to continue living. With the right software and aides for the vision impaired, Adam starts gaining his independence.
Ahhh.. but the passion part. Paul is curious about BDSM. He and Adam start exploring and find out some surprising things - they both only want to indulge in BDSM lite and they have fallen in love. Ah... the warm mushy feelings when they finally TALK to each other and share their feelings.

Oh my goodness I am just blown away by this story!!! I loved how the two characters had to find their way to love with one another! Paul was just such a good guy! This was a really good book! KC Wells is a great author so go pick up some of her other titles!!
Wells is consistently readable, every story a gem. This had an interesting premise, the flow was on target, and the book moved right along. Each character, main and secondary, held their own. Well worth reading-enjoy!
I absolutely loved this book. It sucked me in immediately. The dynamic between these characters was awesome. Would def recommend it.
Sigh....what can I say? This book is perfection! Well written, great characters, a storyline filled with angst and joy and love. Paul gets hired to be companion to Adam, a writer who has lost his sight. Adam is snarky, angry, and hates the world. He has closed himself off from the world and stays in his house, fighting against everyone and everything.
Paul, doesn't give up easily though and gets through to Adam and shows him he can have and live his life. When Paul finds out Adam is a Dom, is spikes his interest and they both begin to explore their feelings. Learning to communicate beyond seeing has them reaching for more together.
